Six traditional handicrafts from Guangyuan, Sichuan province, including the special craft of making steamed cold noodles, have been inscribed onto the provincial-level list of intangible cultural heritage items in Sichuan, according to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

Other listed items include northern Sichuan recitation for education purposes, Lijiang stilt-walking, ceramic making, the Jianmen walking stick and the Jushanaya folk fair.

Meanwhile, there are also seven items from Guangyuan that have been added to the extended list: lantern dancing, Nuo Opera or Ghost Opera of Yangcun and Pingxi villages, Leipeng Storytelling, wooden sculpture, handmade noodles and the Micangshan green-tea making technique.
