"A freight rail line project for Guangyuan high-speed rail logistics base, in Southwest China's Sichuan province, started construction on March 31 and is set to be put into use in October."

Li Chuanwen, Party secretary of the Guangyuan International Railway Port Construction and Development Co, said during an interview on April 10.

The project is the first high-speech freight rail line under construction in the country. With an investment of 50.34 million yuan ($7.3 million), it has been designed to build a 650-meter-long docking rail line.

Upon completion, the project will fundamentally improve the logistics of Guangyuan high-speed rail logistics base, attract the entry of leading logistics companies, meet the demand of the local market and neighboring areas, and assist Guangyuan in becoming a national comprehensive transport and logistics hub.
