Guangyuan, in Southwest China's Sichuan province, promoted its cultural tourism and tea industry in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on April 24.

At the promotional ceremony, Guangyuan released five special tourism routes that encompass ancient Shu roads, former revolutionary sites, resort centers and rural areas.

This year, Guangyuan has further optimized its travel routes and rolled out a set of favorable policies to lure more visitors. The opening of the Xi'an-Chengdu High-speed Railway has also shortened the travel time between the two places to just over two hours.

So far, Guangyuan has already organized similar promotional events in Chengdu, Chongqing and Lanzhou cities. Many travel agencies and tea enterprises from the cities have inked cooperative agreements with Guangyuan.
