On May 8, eight international photographers and media workers were invited to the ancient town of Zhaohua, Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province, for an immersive tour.

They are from Pakistan, Germany, Japan and South Africa. Wearing traditional dress of the Han ethnic people, they experienced ancient Chinese imperial examinations, drink traditional Chinese tea, and watched folk performance in Zhaohua Ancient Town, Jianmen Pass, Tangjiahe Nature Reserve and Yueba Healthcare Town.

The immersive tour, which will run till May 13, is a themed activity jointly held by the Sichuan branch of China News Service and the Publicity Department of the Guangyuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to introduce Guangyuan's natural landscape, biological diversity, historical and cultural heritage overseas.

At the inaugural ceremony of their immersive tour, Liu Guijiang, editor-in-chief of German China Press, said that he was honored to attend such an event and will present to a worldwide audiences a comprehensive picture of Guangyuan.
