On June 16, a photography, calligraphy and painting exhibition on Jianmen Pass was held in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province. Jianmen Pass is a national 4A level scenic spot in Guangyuan in the province.
The activity to last until July 2 will display 174 works that vividly interpreted the profound Shudao culture in the area.
Shudao is the first and best-preserved man-made ancient post road with the longest service life in China. The natural and cultural treasure has a long history, and originated in the Western Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-771 BC).
Last July, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles invited more than 60 well-known artists to collect inspirations from Guangyuan. In February this year, their exquisite paintings were exhibited in Beijing, which received rave reviews and wide acclaim.
