A training session on short video and livestreaming business opened in Jian'ge county of Guangyuan city, Southwest China's Sichuan province, on July 13.

The training event was jointly organized by the Guangyuan Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the CPC Guangyuan Municipal Committee to promote the cultivation of livestreaming hosts in rural tourism, the digital transformation of relevant industries, and the popularity of Sichuan's cultural and tourism resources in rural areas.

It drew the attendance of some 70 online influencers and livestreaming hosts.

A group of experts and certified lecturers gave classes on the making and sales of cultural tourism-oriented short videos, camera and video-editing techniques, life services and e-commerce.

Trainees were also invited to visit Jianmen Pass scenic area, and the Cuiyunlang and Lanmaqiang sections of the ancient Shu Road, where they produced their own short videos under professional guidance.

Noting that the training activity was very practical and useful, He Jun, an influencer from Jian'ge, said that he will firmly grasp the opportunity to further improve his shooting techniques for short videos, better manage his Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok) account, and produce more high-quality short videos about the county.

During an interview, Du Yong, Party secretary of the Mianyang Municipal Internet Society, said that the content of the training session was very systematic and relevant, and added that he would pool strength from what he had learned there toward promoting Sichuan's rural tourism and agricultural products.
