To make the Baihua stone carving work Way to the Sky, the artist took the ancient plank road of Mingyue Gorge as the prototype, and got the most out of the stone's natural texture and image.

It vividly depicts the transformation of the ancient Shu Road from an impassable barrier to a well-travelled  thoroughfare. It also symbolizes the perseverance of people in overcoming obstacles and venturing out of the mountains, reflecting their aspirations for a better life in the new era.
