Renowned experts such as Zhao Jizong, director of the CNCRCND; Meng Xia, office manager of the CNCRCND; and Wang Shuo, chairperson of the neurosurgery branch of the Chinese Medical Association, witnessed the birth of the alliance.

The alliance aims to promote the concept of neuro-co-cardiological diseases, establish an early screening system for primary prevention among the general public.

With the rapid increase in the elderly population across the country, there are more patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in demand of medical treatment.

Zhao, who is the pioneer and founder of minimally invasive neurosurgery in China, first proposed the concept of neuro-co-cardiological diseases.

At the founding conference, he called for various departments and fields within healthcare institutions to pool wisdom and cope with demand.
