Selected museum collections tell story of the Shudao

An art exhibition recently kicked off at the Guangyuan Art Museum, providing people in Guangyuan city, Southwest China's Sichuan province, with the opportunity to appreciate Shudao, a man-made post road to Sichuan.

A total of 46 selected painting and calligraphy works are on display for the three week-long show titled the "Charm of Ancient Shudao", demonstrating thriving pine and cypress trees, majestic mountains and the stories behind them.

"These exquisite works inspire us to inherit the spirit of the Shudao, which I thinks is fearlessness and perseverance," said a visitor from a nearby city surnamed Tao. As he indicates, one can imagine you need such qualities to carve out a way in such a mauvais pas.

The event will last until Nov 26. After that, the museum vows to continue to enrich its collection, and carry out diverse themed exhibition, academic research, and public education activities to meet the demand of local residents.
