On that sunny day, more than 40 Tibetan macaques came out on the lawn just outside the education center building of the reserve. On seeing this, a staff member surnamed Ma immediately took a video by putting his mobile phone behind a monocular.

In the video, a macaque sat on the lawn as if no one else was around. It chewed grass roots, scratched its ears and cheeks, and sometimes glanced right and left, which set off the audience laughing.

"They will reach out to ask for food when encountering tourists." Ma said. Being wrapped in a cozy atmosphere, the adorable creatures are no longer afraid of people.

The Tibetan macaque, also called "Sichuan short-tailed monkey", is a national second-level protected species.
