Sichuan city of Guangyuan undertook this year's Qinba Mountain New Year shopping festival on Jan 19, to welcome the Year of the Dragon, gathering about 200 exhibitors and buyers from more than 20 cities both on and offline.

During the launch ceremony, Guangyuan released an updated edition of its specialty snack— Wangcang Hot and Sour Rice Noodles.

At the booth for Yan'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, exhibitor Wang Wei prepared 200 packs of black millet and 600 packs of red dates in preparation for this year's exhibition.

Liang Xinghai, the person in charge of an Ehime jelly orange farm in Guangyuan's Cangxi county, shared that many repeat customers said they would come to buy his fruit on seeing his post about the exhibition on his WeChat Moments.

The market-oriented exhibition area will be open until Feb 2.

In addition to the exhibition, the festival will also feature a trade promotion fair, procurement negotiation matching session, live-streaming sales, and a package of cultural activities.
