The lantern show kicking off on Feb 2 in Guangyuan, Sichuan province has attracted huge crowds that admired its designs and colorful lights during the chilly winter nights.

The event showcased over 50 sets of lanterns with distinctive characteristics of Year of the Dragon and the famous local historical figure Empress Wu Zetian of Tang Dynasty (618-907).

In addition to colorful lanterns, the show also featured diverse cultural activities such as art performances, culinary cultural festival, as well as interactive events such as the hanfu costume experience.

An adult ticket will cost 29 yuan ($4.03) from now till Feb 25, and passengers can take a customized shuttle bus for free to Heishipo Park, during the opening hours from 17:30 to 22:30.
