On April 15, Guangyuan in Southwest China's Sichuan province unveiled a collection of over 100 tea products and cultural creations in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province. It is a roadshow for the Guangyuan Cultural Tourism and Tea Industry Expo.

Guangyuan and Lanzhou, both situated along the Silk Road, share a rich history as significant commercial hubs engaged in "tea and horse trade".

Presently, there are 16 daily trains connecting Guangyuan to Lanzhou. The Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway and the Lanzhou-Haikou Expressway further strengthen this link.

Thanks to that, Guangyuan tea got to be popular in the Northwest China and even finds its way to markets in Russia and beyond.

Li Jia, marketing director of the Guangyuan Tea Industry Group Co, highlighted the tea varieties from Guangyuan. They include Qingchuan white tea, Guangyuan green tea and Guangyuan yellow tea, and a novel black tea-flavored ice cream.

In addition, exquisite intangible cultural creative works such as Maliu embroidery and Huanma paper-cutting have attracted wide attention among Lanzhou people.

During the activity, Lanzhou residents were invited to savor their offerings.

"Very unique," said a person passing by the exhibition after work. She couldn't help but exclaim after tasting the black tea ice cream: "It's silky on the palate with a lingering fragrance of tea leaves."
