Photography enthusiasts recently captured images of a bar-headed goose at the Qiaozhuang River in Qingchuan county, Guangyuan, Sichuan province.

The bar-headed goose, a national first-level protected animal, is a summer migratory bird. It primarily breeds in Central Asia, Kashmir, Mongolia, as well as plateau lakes such as in Qinghai and Tibet in China. This species has been classified in the "IUCN Red List of Threatened Species" and "China Red Data Book of Endangered Animals".

In recent years, Qingchuan county has been engaged in wetland ecosystem improvement, resulting in an increasingly diverse species population -- such as red-crowned cranes, crested ibises, and white-naped cranes -- inhabiting the area year-round.
