The ecomuseum featuring Cuiyun Corridor in Guangyuan, Sichuan province, was opened to the public on May 18, timed to coincide with the International Museum Day.

Cuiyun Corridor is home to the world's largest artificial ancient cypress forest. Stretching about 150 kilometers through Jiange county in Guangyuan, it boasts 7,778 trees, which are lush and full of vitality despite having an average age of 1,050 years.

The museum aims to display the antique style reflected in the roads, trees, and transportation facilities. Among its treasures is a 2,300-year-old cypress tree that stands 27 meters tall, reaching straight into the sky.

Additionally, visitors can find ancient road relics like the drinking manger and threshold stone. They are preserved examples of historical land transportation.

An official of Jiange county's culture and tourism authority said that the museum is expected to provide the public with a window into the culture and ecological preservation efforts of the shudao, an ancient road system in Sichuan province that dates back over two millennia.

Accordingly, the museum plans to hold a series of science education and cultural exchange activities to give visitors a better experience.
