From May 17 to 19, Guangyuan, Sichuan province held a preliminary competition to select teenage commentators to promote the culture of shudao, the roads of the Shu state in Three Kingdoms Period (220-280).

Accordingly, this event has been divided into three stages: preliminary, semi-finals and finals, and will last until June. It will ultimately select eight winners to become the 2024 shudao culture messengers.

At the audition site, each participant shared their own stories with shudao and explained their understanding of shudao culture while completing a self-introduction and answering questions.

"I have made a lot of preparations for this competition. I will continue my efforts and sprint to the finals." Yao, a contestant who successfully advanced, said with confidence.

Shudao, stretching for about 300 kilometers in Guangyuan city, is a treasure house to more than 130 cultural heritage sites, said Luo Man, the director of the competition program. 

The selection activity aims to encourage more young people to pay attention to, understand, love and promote shudao culture, and arouse public awareness of protecting shudao.
