In the misty rain, the ancient cypresses of Cuiyun Corridor stood upright as ever. Walking on the bluestone pavement, the 84-year-old was in high spirits and his pace vigorous, though he frequently paused to snap photos with his mobile phone.

"These ancient cypresses feel metallic to the touch, very strong, and they can mend people's hearts," he said as he carefully examined the towering trees. Lednev inquired through a translator about the protection and research efforts surrounding these ancient trees and received detailed answers.

After completing their visit to Cuiyun Corridor, Lednev and entourage proceeded to Jianmen Pass.

By around 4:00 PM, the sky had cleared, and Jianmen Pass appeared majestic after the rain. Lednev was struck by the picturesque scenery, leaving him nearly speechless.

"This is so shocking, I feel like I'm on another planet," he said. Lednev, who has visited China more than 40 times, said that each visit offers a new experience.

He marveled at the history of Cuiyun Corridor and Jianmen Pass, both over 2,000 years old, and he noted that seeing them in person was essential to appreciating their natural beauty. "After returning home, I will share these beautiful sceneries with my familiy and friends."

When asked if he would create artwork inspired by Cuiyun Corridor and Jianmen Pass, Lednev said he couldn't provide specifics at the moment. "Good works are not imagined. To create something as impactful as this natural landscape, one must visit multiple times," he said.
