Qingchuan hosts three-person basketball championship

On June 30, the ninth monthly championship of three-person basketball competition kicked off in Qingchuan, a county famous for thriving tea plantation in Guangyuan, Sichuan province.

Eight teams from Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces participated in the event.

The competition began with a vibrant dance performance. Girls dressed in tea-picking outfits and boys in basketball uniforms showcased the unique cultural characteristics of Qingchuan, reflecting the passion and vitality of its people.

With the referee's whistle, the games commenced. The venue was packed with spectators, who cheered and applauded the players' professional and skillful performances.

The most notable match was between the Baba Sandui team and the International friend team. The International friend team, with their significant height advantage, delivered impressive and visually appealing plays.

However, the Baba Sandui team proved to be a formidable opponent, consistently scoring two-point shots to narrow the gap. Despite their loss, the Baba Sandui team earned respect and honor for their determined performance.

At the end of the game, both teams were applauded for their brilliant performance in which the International friend team emerged as the champions.

"I'm very happy. As a basketball fan, I think this competition is great and meaningful," said Yang, a member of the International friend team.

Wu Jian, vice chairman of the Ningqiang County Federation of Trade Unions in Shaanxi province, who led his team to the competition, expressed his appreciation for the hospitable people of Qingchuan. He added that this competition also promoted exchange in the neighboring areas of Sichuan and Shaanxi.

The competition is an open basketball event held daily, weekly, and monthly. It is inclusive, accommodating both men and women, young and old, making it a unique and engaging sporting event.
