As Chinese New Year approaches, Bolin ancient town in Guangyuan, Sichuan province hosts its signature long banquet, bringing villagers together for a joyous celebration.

From early morning, villagers from nearby communities gathered along the ancient street. Volunteers enthusiastically contributed to the preparations, washing vegetables, slicing ingredients, cooking and setting up the venue. Amid the flurry of activity, their faces beamed with happiness.

At 11:30 am, the long banquet began as scheduled, with 32 tables accommodating over 300 participants, stretching along the ancient street. Villagers and guests sat together, raising their glasses in celebration, exchanging blessings and savoring the joys of life.

"We are serving traditional nine-course farm-style dishes, including braised beef, stewed lamb and steamed pork. We hope to let everyone experience a lively New Year celebration," said a community official from the town.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, performances on the ancient town's traditional opera stage were a highlight of the event. Artists delighted the audience with captivating dramas, musical performances and folk songs, offering visitors a visual and cultural feast.
