The 2022 China (Xiamen) International Cross-border E-commerce Expo will be held in Xiamen from Aug 17 to 19, according to a press conference on Aug 3.

This year's expo was approved by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and aims to be a more authoritative, professional, and internationally branded exhibition.

The expo will set up a special exhibition area for Japan in order to further deepen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This opportunity also arises from the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement.

As China holds the BRICS chairmanship this year, the expo will also include a special exhibition area for BRICS countries with creative exhibits and various activities to promote the pragmatic cooperation among BRICS countries.

This year's expo is expected to carry out out in-depth cooperation with Alibaba Group. It not only has set up an exhibition area for Alibaba's products, but also will stage Alibaba's annual summit.

Alibaba Group's research arm Ali Research is expected to launch a report on the global supply chain trend development at the expo's main forum, showcasing its observations and analysis of the cross-border e-commerce industry's development and foreign trade network.

In addition to special exhibition areas, the 6-hectare expo will also include three themed exhibition areas and will hold nearly 30 supporting activities such as high-end conferences, forums, and competitions.

The expo also expects to bring together over 30 key cross-border e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Alibaba.com, AliExpress, ebay, Newegg.com, and Google, with the goal of becoming a more authoritative, professional, and global exhibition.
