Russia is China's largest neighboring country spanning across Europe and Asia. Bilateral ties have seen increasing all-round cooperation since China initiated the Belt and Road Initiative. Among them, the China-EU line trains have played a significant role in the economic cooperation between China and Russia.

The Volsino Train Station, a railway station in its 120s in Moscow, has been given a new historical mission-the train transport. The trains departing from Tianjin are carrying more than 300 containers with the latest Haval SUVs produced by the Great Wall Motor Tianjin factory. These SUVs will be transported from the Volsino train station to the 4S stores of Great Wall Motor Company in Moscow.

Great Wall Motor's largest 4S shop in Russia is located in Moscow. Diao Li, marketing manager of Great Wall Motor Moscow, said that this 4S shop can sell at least 50 cars per month. Apart from the quality of the cars, which is, of course, one of the important contributors of the sales volume, another factor that cannot be neglected is the transportation by line trains greatly reducing the transportation cost, setting a competitive car price.

On April 20, 2017, China, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Poland officially signed the Agreement on Deepening the Cooperation on opening line trains. The China-EU line trains have facilitated trade among these countries.

Since January this year, the line trains from Tianjin have transported more than 2,000 containers of more than 60,000 tons of goods to Moscow, including Chinese cars, electronic accessories and clothing. Products such as Russian timber and metals are also continuously being transported to China by line trains.

Xiusha, who works with a Moscow Torgmall Supply Chain company, said that in recent years, more than 80 percent of their company's trade orders are from Chinese customers, and her work is busier than before. She believes that the friendship between China and Russia will continue. The prospects for pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia are becoming more and more broad, and trade between the two countries will deepen.
