In order to serve the Nigerian Abuja-Kaduna Railway and the Coastal Railway, the college cooperated with the University of Abuja to complete the construction of the Nigerian Luban Workshop by the end of the year. 

At present, more than 8,000 full-time students from 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions are enrolled. Since 2001, the college has trained more than 560 international students and railway employees for Thailand, Ethiopia and other countries, and established international exchanges and cooperation with 35 foreign institutions.
