The Second China-Tajikistan Vocational Education Forum was held on Nov 22 in Tianjin.
The forum aimed to promote the outcomes of the 2024 World Vocational and Technical Education Development Conference and strengthen collaboration in higher education, vocational training and applied technologies.
With the theme "Illuminating Skills, Empowering the Future", the event focused on identifying innovative pathways to enhance vocational education in both nations, particularly in cultivating skilled talent to meet global demands.
A key highlight was the signing of an agreement between Tajik Technical University, Tianjin Urban Construction Management and Vocation Technology College and Tianjin Yuanbai Technology Co to establish the New Energy Vehicle Training Center of Tajikistan Luban Workshop. This initiative is designed to meet Tajikistan's economic and social development needs while fostering partnerships in the burgeoning new energy sector.
Ahmadzoda Bunafsha, vice-rector of Tajik Technical University, commended the Luban Workshop for its high-quality training programs and its role in facilitating cultural exchange. She noted that several outstanding Tajik students have already pursued further studies in China, gaining valuable academic and cultural experiences.
Li Qingbin, Party secretary of Tianjin Urban Construction Management and Vocation Technology College, reaffirmed the commitment to leveraging the Luban Workshop as a bridge for collaboration. He highlighted plans to deepen cooperation in areas such as technology transfer, green development and cultural exchange, further strengthening ties between China and Tajikistan through vocational education.
