Introduction:
The 2021 International High-Level Think Tank Forum on the Internet, organized by Chinese Academy of Cyberspace Studies, University of Edinburgh, WIDE Project and Fundação Getúlio Vargas, is themed as "Global Landscape and Order in the Digital Era". The Forum will invite renowned experts and high-level representatives from global think tanks, research institutes, and international organizations to discuss and share ideas on two main topics of global concern, including "Global Landscape and Role of Think Tanks in the Digital Era" and "Global Cooperation and Role of Think Tanks in the Post-COVID-19 World". In a hybrid format of both online and onsite participation, the Forum will facilitate discussion on opportunities and challenges brought by emerging technologies on the social and economic development, international landscape and order in the digital era as well as role of think tanks in the rules making on global digital governance and global cooperation in cyberspace, in a bid to contribute more wisdom to building a community with a shared future in cyberspace.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
