Arm Technology (China) Co., Ltd. ("Arm China"), together with other outstanding Chinese semiconductor enterprises and related organizations, released the world's first opensource instruction set architecture for Neural-network Processing Unit (NPU ISA) through "Open NPU Innovation Alliance" (ONIA).

Application

The NPU ISA is genuinely "China Initiated, Global Open-sourced". It is also the first unified, advanced, and completely autonomous and controllable open-source instruction set in artificial intelligence in China and even in the world. It can provide customizable intelligent computing chips with diversified alternative capabilities for AIoT, autonomous driving, industrial manufacturing, and other application scenarios, which can fully improve the computing power while ensuring secure use, improvement, and upgrade, and make common progress with the industry through ecosystem co-construction and sharing.
