Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the World Internet Conference (WIC), talked about the goals and mission of the WIC, Internet global governance, artificial intelligence application, and the role of China-proposed Global Security Initiative in the Internet global governance during an exclusive interview with High Talk of China Global Television Network (CGTN) on Sept 21.

The year 2023 marks the 10th year of the WIC Wuzhen Summit. This year’s summit will be held under the theme "Creating an Inclusive and Resilient Digital World Beneficial to All - Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace" in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province, from Nov 8 to 10.

Ren said that a series of activities are to be convened at the upcoming 2023 WIC Wuzhen Summit,and expressed his hopes that the annual event will further deepen international cooperation on the Internet, build a sound environment for the development of Internet-related technology industries, and foster new growth momentum for the world.
