In 2018, more than 400 Internet-related innovative achievements from 20 countries such as China, the UK and France were submitted to the event. These achievements included theoretical research results recognized by relevant authoritative institutions, cutting-edge technological achievements, globally influential products, innovative business models, and comprehensive accomplishments.
On Nov 7, the 2018 Release Ceremony for World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements was held in Wuzhen, East China’s Zhejiang province, where 15 world-leading technological achievements were released, presenting a technological feast for the global Internet community.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
