Ren Xianliang, Secretary-General of the World Internet Conference (WIC), emphasized that the WIC is committed to building a comprehensive member service system and continuously enriching and optimizing member benefits. He made the remarks while attending the WIC open day on July 11 in Beijing, where he delivered opening remarks.

The open day is also an event to celebrate the 2nd anniversay of WIC organization.

Ren expressed expectations for enhanced communication and cooperation with partners to jointly build a community with a shared future in cyberspace.

He acknowledged the significant contributions of the 2023 outstanding member liaisons in promoting information flow, resource sharing, and cooperation between the WIC and its members. He encouraged them to further serve as a bridge between the WIC and members.

Luigi Gambardella, president of ChinaEU, Quan Xiaowen, president of WebRAY Tech (Beijing) Co Ltd, and Pei Jinlin, global vice president of SAP (China) Co Ltd shared their experiences and insights as WIC members. They highlighted the WIC's role as a platform for member exchanges, deep industry engagement, and governance and promotion, facilitating government-enterprise communication, according to participants. They expressed their expectations for continued pragmatic cooperation through the WIC to achieve mutual benefits.

The open day invited participants to visit the headquarters of the WIC organization, providing information for them with WIC's progress and achievements over the past two years and facilitating extensive exchanges among industry peers.

The event saw the participation of over 100 representatives from relevant government departments and the WIC members including Shanghai Bell Co Ltd, IBM (China) Company Limited, MTel Telecom, China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Baidu Netcom Science Technology Co Ltd, Beijing Douyin Technology Co Ltd, Tencent, Alibaba Group, as well as media representatives.
