In our recent interview with Zeng Yi, a professor at the Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, he shared his view that the role of AI in science is promising, but human insight will continue to guide our path forward.

He said AI is unlocking new possibilities for interdisciplinary research by revealing connections between diverse scientific fields such as physics, chemistry, psychology, neuroscience, and AI itself. Scientists can use AI to uncover hidden links between these disciplines, enabling more efficient research, which in turn supports groundbreaking scientific inferences and fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration.

However, while AI is empowering scientific research, it is still an era of humanity, where the future direction of society remains in our hands.
