Wang Jian: AI is revolutionary tool for scientific revolution
During the Symposium on AI for Science (AI4S) on Feb 19, Wang Jian, chief chair of the World Internet Conference Specialized Committee on Artificial Intelligence and president of Zhijiang Lab, emphasized that the term "empowerment" falls short in capturing the transformative impact of AI. "I often say, AI is not just a revolution in tools for science; it is a revolutionary tool for the scientific revolution itself," he said. According to Wang, AI is not only assisting in scientific research but driving a fundamental shift in how science progresses.
As AI continues to evolve, it is becoming a central force in scientific discovery, reshaping the future of research and innovation.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
