Dong Yuhui: Bridging cultures through lived experience
At the 2025 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, Dong Yuhui redefined the essence of cultural communication for the digital age, emphasizing that genuine intercultural understanding is rooted in shared, lived experience.
True connection, Dong articulated, is moving beyond words to create authentic, immersive experiences. As messengers in a hyper-connected world, Dong urged that our objective must evolve. The goal is not merely to transmit information, but to foster true comprehension.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
