The affiliated hospital of Xiamen University, known as Xiang'an Hospital, officially opened on April 6, marking an important step forward for Xiamen University in building itself into a world-class medical university.

The hospital is a non-profit public institution jointly established by the Xiamen municipal government and Xiamen University. It covers a total area of 360 mu (24 hectares).

The hospital not only brought in a number of high-end talents in various disciplines from home and abroad, but also purchased a variety of advanced medical equipment in order to provide the best possible treatment for patients.

Additionally, the hospital plans to make full use of the information technology at its disposal by building an information sharing platform.

In order to develop an efficient medical response system combining ground and air transport, the hospital also set up a helipad for rescue helicopters. The
