E-commerce enterprises registered in Xiamen can get special funding support from the local government, according to the Xiamen municipal bureau of commerce.

Applications for the 2019 funding support may be made until June 5. Enterprises that meet the requirements can apply to the administrative committee and the district commercial department. Commercial associations should apply to the municipal bureau of commerce directly.

This year's e-commerce funding support covers online retail businesses, e-commerce service enterprises, e-commerce associations organizing public activities, the construction of e-commerce platforms, and the construction of e-commerce bases.

1. Online retail businesses

For the online retail enterprises included in the national statistics for the first time in 2018, if the online retail sales amount reaches 5 million yuan ($727,000) in 2018, a one-time reward of 100,000 yuan will be granted. And for the part exceeding 5 million yuan, the reward is 10,000 yuan for every 2 million yuan. The upper limit for a single enterprise is 1 million yuan.

Other online retail enterprises with a year-on-year increase in online retail sales in 2018 will be rewarded 10,000 yuan for every 2 million yuan for the incremental part, with an upper limit for a single enterprise of 2 million yuan.

2. E-commerce service enterprises

E-commerce service enterprises provide services include e-commerce platform development, planning and design, agent operation, distribution application, network promotion, photography and credit certification.

For e-commerce service enterprises that helped more than five local traditional enterprises each realize annual online retail sales of more than 5 million yuan, or helped a single local traditional enterprise realize annual online retail sales of more than 50 million yuan, a one-time reward of 500,000 yuan will be granted after confirmation.

3. E-commerce associations organizing public activities

The business associations will get subsidies for organizing activities such as e-commerce lectures, forums and innovation competitions. If the activities attract more than 200 people and achieve good results, up to 70 percent of cost will be granted.

The maximum subsidy for a single activity is 200,000 yuan, and a single commercial association can get subsidies for five activities per year.

4. Construction of e-commerce platforms

For verified e-commerce platforms with publicity, demonstration and driving characteristics, the subsidy will be no more than 30 percent based on the platform investment cost in 2018, with a ceiling of 2 million yuan per year for a single enterprise and a maximum of 3 years.

5. Construction of e-commerce bases

For e-commerce bases with a building area of more than 50,000 square meters and an occupancy rate of more than 40 percent, a one-time reward of 100,000 yuan per 10,000 sq m will be granted, with an upper limit for a single base of 1 million yuan.

If the base is recognized as a national demonstration base, it can receive an extra one-time reward of 2 million yuan.
