Xiamen in East China's Fujian province topped a ten-city list of the most attractive summer resorts for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival (June 6 to 8), local media reported on May 31.

Data from Ctrip.com, a leading online travel agency in China, showed that in addition to being the hottest summer resort in China, Xiamen also ranks fourth among the most popular national destinations for individual tourists during the festival.

As a coastal city, Xiamen attracts numerous visitors from home and abroad each year with its beautiful landscape and pleasant climate. Gulangyu Island, a World Cultural Heritage site, is the most renowned scenic spot in the city.
