The qualification trials for the China-US Maker Competition (CUYMC) in Xiamen wrapped up at Xiamen University (XMU) on June 26, local media reported.
A team from the Software School of XUM was among the final 25 candidates in the championship and the eventual winner. Another two teams took the runner-up positions and four won third place.
A total of 370 applicants from 28 universities in China have signed up for the competition.
CUYMC, officially established in 2015, is aiming to create a more innovative entrepreneurship environment for youngsters from both countries. The competition in China is sponsored by the Ministry of Education.
