Professor Xu Zhuo is honored with the Science and Technology Progress Award.

The 2024 Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award Ceremony was held in Beijing on Dec 3. A total of 55 scientists received the Science and Technology Progress Award and the Science and Technology Innovation Award. Professor Xu Zhuo of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU)'s School of Electronic and Information Engineering was honored with the Science and Technology Progress Award.

Xu has long been dedicated to research in high-performance piezoelectric single crystals, functional ceramics, metamaterials, and quantum imaging. He has published several papers in top journals such as Nature and Science. His team’s achievement, "Transparent Ferroelectric Single Crystals with Ultra-High Piezoelectric Performance", was selected as one of China's Top 10 Scientific Advances in 2020.

He has received numerous honors, including the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the China Patent Gold Award, and the National Award for Innovation.
