An exhibition showcasing Su embroidery from Zhenhu town, Suzhou New District, will take place in Hong Kong on May 24.
This exhibition will consist of three sections: works illustrating poetic Jiangnan – regions south of the Yangtze River, classic Su embroidery works and embroidery works from skilled men of a new generation.
The three sections are expected to display 33 sets of embroidery works from 29 artists.
This activity is sponsored by the Jiangsu Overseas Friendship Association and the Federation of HK Jiangsu Community Organizations and organized by the Suzhou Overseas Friendship Association and the management committee of Suzhou New District.
Zhenhu town is home to more than 8,000 embroidery men, of whom two are honored as national inheritors of Su embroidery.
