Antique purple clay teapots showcased in Suzhou

Exhibition showcasing a total of 106 purple clay teapots made in Ming (1368-1644) and Qing dynasties (1644-1911) is being held at Suzhou Dongwu Museum.

The exhibition consists of three parts: purple clay teapots made during the reign of Emperor Jiajing (1522 – 1566), purple clay teapots made during the reign of Emperors Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong (1654 – 1795), and purple clay teapots made during the reign of Emperors Jiaqing and Daoguang (1796 – 1850).

The exhibition will run until the end of this year from Tuesdays to Sundays (apart from official holidays).

First part: purple clay teapots made during the reign of Emperor Jiajing (1522 – 1566)
