A mid-lake escape from urban hustle and bustle

The mid-lake islands of Gongshan, which are believed to be the embodiments of different animals such as a turtle and dragon, have long been a top tourist destination, offering a secluded getaway on Taihu Lake.

If you go:

Public transportation: Take Tram Line 1 to Longkang Rd Station and transfer to Bus Line 351 at North Gongshan Rd Station, then Bus Line 330 at North Mashan Village Station.

Driving: Drive along Taihu Ave and turn right at Gongshan Rd, drive to the end of the road and then turn right at North Taihu Ave, drive for another 200 meters to Gongshan Wharf, then take a ferry to visit the island, 60 yuan per person for a round trip. Remember to book group tickets as individual visits are currently not available.
