At the 22nd World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, the China Research Hospital Association and Beijing Intellectual Property, the China Research Hospital Association and Beijing Intellectual Property Operation and Management Co., Ltd. (Beijing IP) held the Intelligent Healthcare·Intelligent Creation of the Future-Intellectual Property Operation Forum on Transformation of Medical Perception Achievements in Beijing.

The forum released the a report on the research results of patent layout in global medical perception, announced the top 10 list of Chinese hospital intellectual property rights, and launched the China Research Hospital-Beijing IP Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Project Collection Activity.

Lei Xiaoyun, director of the Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Department of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, pointed out that in 2021, the import and export volume of intellectual property royalties reached 378.3 billion yuan ($57.35 billion), of which the export value increased by 27 percent. 

The number of operations such as patent transfer, licensing and pledge nationwide reached 485,000, a year-on-year increase of 19.7 percent; while the patent and trademark pledge financing amount exceeded 300 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 42.1 percent.

Zhou Liquan, deputy director of the Beijing Intellectual Property Office, mentioned that Beijing always attaches great importance to intellectual property rights, and will promote the protection and reform of the whole chain of intellectual property rights.

Liu Xihua, vice president of the China Research Hospital Association, introduced the China Research Hospital Association Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Platform.

The platform is led by the China Research Hospital Association and the Zhongguancun Development Group (based on Beijing IP), and was jointly launched by the National Intellectual Property Fund and several listed companies.

The report on research results of patents layout in global medical perception was created by Beijing IP and the China Research Hospital Association. 

Based on global patent big data, it took stock of the global medical sensor industry technologies, focusing on the technical direction of domestic and foreign hospitals and enterprises and revealing the latest trends and technological hotspots in global medical perception technology.

China Research Hospital-Beijing IP Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Project Collection Activity is aimed at 139 professional committees of the society and more than 300 first-class hospitals with excellent clinical and scientific research capabilities. 

It aims to encourage and guide hospitals and teams with independent intellectual property rights to participate in the medical science and technology achievement transformation platform.
