On Sep 21, the China Atomic Energy Authority held a forum for the third quarter of 2022 in Beijing, releasing ten major events in the field of nuclear technology applications, and demonstrating recent application results of nuclear technology in the national economy.

The world's first static intelligent CT security inspection system, based on a carbon nanotube cold cathode distributed X-ray source, which was independently developed by Nuctech, was selected.

In the past 20 years, Nuctech has developed the world's first carbon nanotube cold cathode distributed X-ray source, making China the first country in the world to master this new X-ray source technology.

In 2021, Tsinghua University and Nuctech jointly developed the world's first static CT system based on a carbon nanotube cold cathode distributed X-ray source. 

Nuctech's static intelligent CT inspection system has passed the highest standard certification of CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) and ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference).

In 2022, the static CT system and the carbon nanotube cold cathode distributed light source technology won gold and silver at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.

In addition, the ten major events selected in nuclear technology application also included the successful clinical application of the first domestically produced medical heavy ion accelerator, the world's first panoramic dynamic scanning PET-CT, and the industrial application of electron beam technology in sewage treatment.
