Recently, the finals of the 2022 Zhongguancun International Frontier Science and Technology Innovation Competition International Track, in the field of new generation information technology, kicked off online. 

After the preliminary screening, a total of 15 new-generation information technology projects from around the world participated in the finals through online roadshows.

At the competition site, representatives of each participating project demonstrated their strengths across multiple dimensions, such as team advantages, industrial innovation, independent intellectual property rights, market demand, core competitiveness, and business models. 

12 experts from colleges and universities, investment institutions, and leading companies were invited to serve as judges. After precise guidance, meticulous comments, and scoring, DP Technology, Beijing Zhiyi Technology Co, Createlink Technology Co and other seven projects were shortlisted into the Top 10 of 2022 Zhongguancun International Frontier Science and Technology Innovation Competition International Circuit in the field of new generation information technology.

Since its launch in 2017, the Zhongguancun Frontier Science and Technology Innovation Competition has focused on such key fields as biomedicine, artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, big data and cloud computing, intelligent manufacturing and new materials, and has attracted more than 10,000 frontier science and technology projects from home and abroad. 

More than 500 outstanding start-ups and entrepreneurial teams stood out, 175 high-quality cutting-edge technology companies received more than 600 million yuan ($85.92 million) in financial support, 17 companies grew into global unicorn companies, and nine companies were listed on domestic and foreign capital markets.

The 2022 Zhongguancun Frontier Science and Technology Innovation Competition focuses on 15 fields, including artificial intelligence and biomedicine, and has attracted more than 2,500 cutting-edge technology projects to participate in the competition, which has received the most entries of all competitions over the years. 

Among the winning projects, those with top scientists accounted for more than 30 percent, and R&D personnel accounted for more than 64 percent on average. An international track was set up for the first time this year, and attracted international projects from 31 countries, including South Korea, the United States, and Finland.

Meanwhile, Zhongguancun Innoway has launched a service package for the development of overseas scientific and technological enterprises, providing a full-chain service of "settling in Beijing - starting a business in Beijing - developing in Beijing". 

With the "policy service package", "entrepreneurship service" and "acceleration service package", there are a total of 25 services across three categories, which can help overseas innovation companies and overseas returnees on the road of innovation and entrepreneurship in Beijing.
