The China-Japan Collaborative Innovation and Cooperative Development Forum and the Finals of the 2022 Ricoh Hackathon were launched at the Zhongguancun Exhibition Center on Jan 9, 2023.

Through the five modules of keynote speeches, laboratory unveiling, cooperation signing, project road shows, and technology exhibitions, the development and trends of cutting-edge technologies will be revealed.

Many excellent projects have emerged in the Ricoh Hackathon, which has become an important platform for scientific and technological collaboration and innovation between China and Japan.

Supported by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, the event was hosted by the RICOH China Co and the Ricoh Software Research Center (Beijing) Co, and co-hosted by the Sony China Research Institute and the Murata (China) Investment Co.

Three China-Japan Cooperation and Innovation Achievements officially released

The WINDO-Ricoh Joint Laboratory held an official unveiling ceremony. The Ricoh Software Research Center and the Tianjin Window Machinery Co signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing in 2022, and established the WINDO-Ricoh Joint Laboratory. 

The two parties have carried out in-depth research and development in the fields of Ricoh digital printing technology and WINDO industrial printing, and have achieved phased breakthroughs.

Kong Lingbo, chairman of the Shandong Chuangyu Environmental Protection Technology Co, introduced that the company and Japan's Ricoh had established the Chuangyu-Ricoh Technology Innovation Center, which enables the two parties to optimize Chuangyu's core technology "SCR denitrification system ammonia injection intelligent control system", and have applied for nine invention patents and five utility models.

The Dongguan GooDa Machinery Manufacturing Co and Ricoh have carried out extensive cooperation in the fields of smart factories and robots, and achieved several breakthroughs. During the event, Ricoh and Dongguan GooDa signed a crawler robot technology authorization agreement.

Seventeen projects stand out in finals of Ricoh Hackathon

Focusing on cutting-edge hard technology fields, such as decarbonization and environmental protection, intelligent manufacturing, optical images, and advanced printing, the 2022 Ricoh Hackathon has attracted the attention of universities, research institutes, and technology companies, with hundreds of teams having registered for the competition. 

The evaluation experts gave comprehensive scores to the projects from the six dimensions: contribution to the goal of sustainable development, product/service feasibility, technological innovation, business model and competitiveness, team comprehensive ability, and Ricoh open technology integration.

After the reviewing process, 17 high-quality projects from across the country stood out and advanced to the finals.

One first prize, one second prize, one third prize, three outstanding innovation awards, and eleven winning prizes were awared in the finals, and an award ceremony was held on site. 

The "Intelligent Unmanned Warehouse Overall Solution" of Shenzhen Dorabot Inc won first prize, the "SMI YARD Intelligent Mowing Robot" project of Similais (Hangzhou) Technology Co won second prize, and the "Manufacturing Process Behavior Analysis System" project of Suzhou Mingyi Think Tank Information Technology Co won third prize.

The award-winning projects will receive funds and supporting resources from innovation accelerators, as well as multi-dimensional support, such as overseas exchanges, resources connection, face-to-face guidance from mentors, and marketing promotion.
