Established on December 30, 2013, following the merger of Yingbin Subdistrict and Shengli Subdistrict, Dagang Subdistrict is located in the southern part of Binhai New Area, previously the central urban area of Dagang. The subdistrict covers a total area of 46 square kilometers and is home to over 210,000 people across more than 60,000 households. It includes 34 community neighborhood committees and 44 natural residential areas, reflecting a diverse and vibrant community.
Dagang Subdistrict is home to several large state-owned enterprises, including Tianjin Petrochemical Corporation,SINOPEC SABIC TianJin Petrochemical Company Limited, , and SINOPEC Fouth Construction Co.,Ltd. The area also hosts prominent academic institutions and professional education training centers like Nankai University Binhai College and Binhai School of Foreign Affairs of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, contributing to the educational and economic development of the region.
