Retiree documents Lujiazui's development on camera

Yao Jianliang, a 63-year-old retiree who used to work at Lujiazui Group, has used his camera to document the development of Lujiazui in Pudong New Area, Shanghai over the past three decades.

To reflect the change in the landscape, Yao has taken photos from the exact same location every year. To date, he has shot 80,000 photos of Pudong.

"I feel proud of being a participant and witness of Pudong's development and opening-up," said Yao.
