Global health expo opens in Qingdao
The second Global Health Expo of Boao Forum for Asia opened on June 1 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.
More than 400 guests, including representatives from international organizations and embassies in China, leaders of national ministries and commissions and delegations from other provinces and cities, and representatives of exhibitors, attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Li Baodong, secretary-general of the Boao Forum for Asia, said that the expo is an important part of the Conference of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, which aims to build a platform for government departments and enterprises to introduce advanced policy concepts, cutting-edge technological innovation and the latest product achievements to the world in a more intuitive way, as well as to facilitate communication between policy makers and enterprises and to promote the development of the big health industry.
Margaret Chan Fung Fu-chun, president of the Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia and former director-general of the World Health Organization, said that the global health forum uses the expo as a platform to promote the transformation, integration and upgrading of the health industry, explore opportunities for the development of the health industry in an all-round way and deepen practical cooperation.
She also called on all countries and regions to make good use of the new development opportunities of the current big health industry, increase investment in scientific and technological innovation, attach importance to industry leadership, and make due contributions to promoting human health and well-being and sustainable economic development.
