Interconnected transportation
The Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou expressway, National Highway 330, and Wenzhou Avenue connect Longwan to the main urban area of Wenzhou, while rail transit line S1 has secured the district's role as a transportation hub located on the east side of the city.
Longwan is currently the only urban area in Wenzhou that is home to an airport, sea ports and land ports.
The district is also beefing up efforts to enhance its connectivity. This year alone, the district has invested roughly 4.45 billion yuan ($611.88 million) in urban transportation, witnessing the opening of rail transit line S2, the completion of about 80 percent of the eastern extension line of the Jinhua-Lishui-Wenzhou highway, and the Longwan section of Wenzhou-Fuzhou high-speed railway's bidding for investigation and design.
