Yinchuan's Xixia promotes its wine-related cultural and tourism industry in Beijing

Xixia district of Yinchuan, capital city of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, held a promotional event of its wine-related cultural and tourism industry in Beijing on the afternoon of November 8.

The event aimed to further promote the district's natural resources and special industrial strengths, underscore the development of the wine industry at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain and the local "wine plus cultural tourism" resources and strengths, bolster the popularity and recognition of local wine brands, win more investors and business partners, and accelerate its economic and social development.

The exhibition area brought together high-quality wine products manufactured by local major chateaus, showing special charm and profound heritage of the district. Guests tasted Xixia's wines at the event.

Gao Tianshu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Xixia District Committe of the Communist Party of China and deputy director of Xixia District Government, gave a detailed introduction to the district's wine products and cultural tourism industry in terms of their development history, industrial scale, chateau features and cultural & tourism integration. He said that the district will make full use of its "wine plus cultural tourism" resources and strengths, foster unique wine-related cultural tourism industry, and provide visitors with colorful travel experience.

Representatives of local wine manufacturers briefed attendees about their special products, development strengths and cooperation intention, and conveyed the willingness to engage in win-win cooperation with prospective business partners in Beijing.

During the ceremony, Xixia signed cooperation agreements worth about 1.76 billion yuan with 12 companies, covering chateau construction, cultural tourism integration, wine sales and other sectors.

Through organizing the promotional event, Xixia expects to further enlarge the reception functions of local chateaus and scenic sites, facilitate their brand building, and raise the reputation of local wine and cultural tourism industries.

Meanwhile, Xixia will continue to explore its wine-related cultural tourism resources, enrich tourism products and industrial structure, provide visitors with rich and colorful travel experience, and build the wine-related cultural tourism industry into a major economic pillar and attractive brand.
