The Shandong Port Medical & Health Group Co Ltd, headquartered in Qingdao city in East China's Shandong province, specializes in investment, operations and management of medical care and health industry and is a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group or SPG – one of the biggest port operators in the world.

Headquartered at No 201 Nanjing Road in the Shibei district of Qingdao, the company was registered and established on June 4, 2020. It owns one third-level public hospital, two second-level general hospitals and one first-level hospital.

The main business scope of the company includes hospital management, medical technical consultations and technical R&D.

The  hospitals have 1,800 beds, as well as 1,800 professional and technical employees in total, among them nearly 300 with an associated senior title or above. The facility mainly covers areas related to cardiovascular, rehabilitation, orthopedics, urology and ophthalmology – with an annual emergency treatment capacity of 700,000 patients and 24,000 operations.

Plans are for the group to soon build a dynamic health service industry platform – focusing on health management and port-related medical care, cooperative development, brand development and overall development.

It is expected this will serve port staff and local people well and the company will build a medical care and health management group featuring SPG's corporate characteristics.
