Shandong Port Investment Holdings Co Ltd is a second-class sub-group directly under Shandong Port Group Co Ltd, and serves as one of the group's top 12 business sectors and its financial sector headquarters.

The company, formerly known as Qingdao Port Financial Holding Co Ltd, was founded on April 19, 2017, with registered capital and paid-in capital of 5 billion yuan ($706.89 million). It was renamed Shandong Port Financial Holding Co Ltd in November 2019.

Shandong Port Group has created a movable mortgage financing supervision platform, the first of its kind in China's port industry. It has made basic online operations possible for bulk commodities such as iron ore and bauxite.

Currently, the company has 10 financial licenses (finance companies, commodity trading platform, financial lease, microfinance, commercial factoring, financing guarantee, asset management, fund management, insurance agency and insurance brokerage).

Additionally, it has also taken charge of the operation and management of 16 major financial business models, strengthened the formation of the port and waterway industry chain, and begun to build up a comprehensive financial service system.
